Nostalgia update!

lexShe's doing so well~ I think she's maxed out her back legs for now, they seem to be at a consistent level of wobble and splay. Still not much muscle in her lower back, but her legs are SO STRONG now! When I got her, I could feel every little bump of every little bone all over, but now she's filling in along her spine and her legs are filling out with muscle. She's just doing so well!
She's also figured out that I know how to sleep without kicking a cat, and she's spent the last two nights taking up most of the bottom half of my bed. She's not big on snuggling, but she likes to have a paw on me, and it's a damn sight better than sleeping in doorways and getting tripped on. ಠ_ಠ Note to Nostalgia: seriously, stop sleeping in doorways.
We're still working on finding the right food. I finally went to the creepy little pet food shop in the industrial part of town on a one-way street (seriously wtf) and it turned out to be AWESOME. They're so sweet there, and they have two previously-feral cats in the store. I said hello to one while I was exploring and OH MY GOD SHE WAS SO SOFT. I would call her a big fluffy pillow of a cat but she wasn't fat! BUT SO SOFT. Think cashmere, then go softer. So I was like WHAT DO YOU FEED THIS CAT and all of a sudden they were giving me samples of like EVERYTHING. So okay, I'm totally going to splurge on Acana or Orijen because DAMN THOSE CATS WERE FINE. Seriously, all muscle and super-soft fur and purring joy. Nostalgia ADORES the sample they gave me - she'll actually eat it out of my hand, which is a startling development! She likes the EVO sample okay, but omg that Acana sample, she is so all about that. And I did some research into them and they look good, really big on the no-grain low-carb real-food hippie stuff like I am. :D And okay I will admit this publicly, I'm one of those kooky people and I ate a piece of each of the dry foods DON'T JUDGE ME, I READ THE INGREDIENTS AND I WANTED TO KNOW. ...my verdict is that the EVO is tasteless at first bite, but with a little moisture it gets flavorful, and the Acana is fucking good cat food. I wouldn't eat it for breakfast but it's not bad.
A-anyway, I'm working on another, better video of her, but the camera ran out of batteries and somehow we don't have any AA batteries floating around, so it may be a while before I remember to get them! But I promise she is just as cute as ever. One day I'll, like, make an icon of her for these posts. For srs.
