Oh precious sleep, I love you so. Mmmm. I got a full 9 hours last night. GLORIOUS. It was good sleep too, the really damn deep kind. I guess opiates do that to a person! And I wasn't violently ill when I woke up! I could kiss that weird doctor who gave me prescription cough medicine. This shit is so strong that 1. I totally got high on the prescribed dose, wtf and 2. it suppressed the coughing/gagging enough that I was able to spit up ugly crap without choking or bursting more blood vessels in my eyes. After sleeping an uninterrupted nine hours.
PEOPLE. I AM SO HAPPY. I still desperately need more rest, because in the previous six days I think I got a grand total of 15 hours of very shitty sleep (I am not exaggerating, that is honestly my estimated total), but oh god it's so good to sleep again. So good.
In celebration, and as a gift for a friend, I started a thing that she probably won't even like but oh well, here have the (awkward, sleep-deprived) first paragraph:
In the shadow of a building with the words "STATE ARMORY" carved into granite and brick, Frenzy chittered a hodgepodge of languages at Scorponok as he clambered all over the larger symbiont. His advances were quite unwelcome, which was half the fun of it - Scorponok shuddered and danced sideways, claws spinning in outrage, plates shifting to pinch at Frenzy's skittering feet. The smaller creature just hiccuped a laugh, daring Scorponok to attempt to spear Frenzy with his tail.

Date: 2010-05-11 08:10 pm (UTC)ANYWAY. I am so happy you got sleep! Good sleep! Maybe now you can sleep through the worst of it, and heal more quickly <3
One more thing-- that paragraph is *rad*, dude. I can totally picture their movement. Also, the story involves You-Know-Who (not that one, the other one!), so of course she'll like it XD
