I feel like enumerating my current cleaning regime, because I find it HILARIOUS. Bear in mind that every single one of these choices of product was made after extensive testing of regular equivalents. I did not jump right to the most hippie option. OKAY.
I wash my hair with pine tar soap to control the dandruff, or J.R. Ligett's shampoo bar if it's not bad. I condition with either Head & Shoulders or Dove conditioner. I'm also starting to rinse my scalp and hair with lemon juice, for both the brightening effects and because I learned that most persistent dandruff is a yeast thing and the acid will create an inhospitable environment for the little buggers.
I wash my body with the pine tar soap too. It's awesome stuff. I've got a loofah - did you know they're the innards of the loofah gourd? Pretty cool. I sometimes wash my face with the pine tar soap too, but usually just go for a sugar scrub. Then I moisturize with jojoba oil. I need a second, more intense moisturizer, but the jojoba is good for daily use.
I read about making a honey-and-egg face mask and I might give that a try just for the hilarity of it. Yolk for dry skin, white for oily skin, plus two tb honey. idk you guys, last time I tried honey as a moisturizer it just made my face suddenly delicious. XD
Anyway, I do need a stronger moisturizer in addition to the jojoba oil, so I've been looking at Illipe and Shea butter. 4oz for $4.50 isn't bad, so I'll probably order some of that when the next month rolls around. I am so out of money this month. :( How does this keep happening arrrrrgh (okay it was the $100 I threw at car maintenance BUT STILL)
I need to go to class now, and then cram before my Physics test, so wish me luck! I will Noodlearm my way through it. Noodlearms makes me so fucking happy. NOOOOOODLEARMS~~~ (yes I flailed my arms when I typed that)
