Awwwwww shit.

Methinks I spoke too soon. Nostalgia was particularly wobbly this morning but decided that the back of my chair looked like a great place to perch - she fell right off due to the back legs not responding as much as she'd expected them too, and now she's showing the subtle signs of a cat in pain. :( Not extreme pain, she isn't reacting worse than usual to manipulation of her back end and she still walks and jumps so she didn't break anything - but she doesn't want to move around much, and when I went to check on her (she was being quiet, which either means she's getting in trouble or she's sleeping in a doorway) she had tucked herself into the bottom shelf of a bookcase in the room that has the least human traffic. Yep. Hurting. Poor darling. I'm going to hope today is just a bad day - if she's still hurting over the next day or two, I'll bite the bullet and bring her in for X-rays and whatnot.
